The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) convened an investment application review meeting on 31st August 2017. Two new investment applications, including Sublime Culture Co., Ltd. and Tung-Tze Technology Co., Ltd. were approved to invest and station in; the total investment figures amounted over NT$ 1.2 billion, which is expected to increase 55 job vacancies.
According to the EPZA, Sublime Culture Co., Ltd. entered Taichung Software Park (TSP) to provide book publishing, translation, arts and literature consultancy services. Sublime Culture Co., Ltd. not only collected high-class arts and literature works, but also developed e-book platforms by which writers can make e-books, edit articles, and expand subject matters. In response to the era of internet and multimedia, writers also can add videos, hyperlinks, and navigation maps to e-books, and they can even make audio books for building lifelike contents and creating more rich experience in reading. In addition, readers can use cross-platform and cross-carriers to read at any time and in any where. In the future, Sublime Culture Co., Ltd. will endeavour to promote culture of arts, and its publications will be aimed at grounding arts and literature.
In 2009, the launch of LED TV products increased the carrying rate of LED edge type of backlight modules. In addition, the demand of light guide plates that used in LED TVs also expanded rapidly, and there has been a large increase of the light guide plate market. Tung-Tze Technology Co., Ltd. entered Pingtung Export Processing Zone and it mainly manufactured light guide plates and acrylic boards. It is also an acrylic product manufacturer, manufacturing impact resistance plates and diffuser plates, providing building materials of daily necessities and advertising supplies. In addition, methyl methacrylate (MMA) is the main material for its light guide plates. Its manufacturing processes are raw material heating, cooling and adding formulae, filtering, and injection molding. The processes of formulae adding and injection molding are the key technologies of Tung-Tze Technology Co., Ltd., and manufacturing costs of these key technologies are lower than all other companies. In addition, Tung-Tze Technology Co., Ltd. annual output is estimated up to 20,000 tons after its mass production, and it will export all products, earning foreign exchange through exports.
