Originally, the development of this park was mainly due to the local resource-based industries. However, since the Hsuehshan Tunnel opened to traffic in 2006, it has been transformed into a backyard of Taipei, shortening the distances of the northern part of the metropolitan area to reduce the travel time. So it has attracted a large number of companies entering, in which the industrial clusters of solar photovoltaics, electronic components, energy-saving industries and tourist factories have been formed. In addition to the planning to set up a sightseeing factory, Chii Lih Coral is planning to build a coral museum.
