Since the beginning of 2017, the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has changed the direction of the industrial park development. Under the guidance of the industrial land reform program, the Lunwei District of Changhua Coastal Park has become an important reserve land that the development strategies adopted will be by phases and small districts according to the market demands.
 
According to the nationwide regional plans and the Changhua County regional projects, the maximum development potential and the cluster effect for Changhua and the central region’s industrial development reside in metal and electromechanical industries that have great values for supports and facilitation. Therefore, the development strategy of this industrial park focuses on the development of existing industries with strengths, including mechanical equipment, auto parts, and manufacturers of rubber and textile, etc., and supports the forward-looking and  focused development industries, including the third phase development of the metal surface treatment dedicated district and the development of green energy industry demonstration district.
 
The industrial developments of Changhua Coastal Park’s Lunwei District will move in four major directions: 1. Deeply develop on existing regional strengths; 2. Assist upgrading values of existing conventional industries; 3. Bring up low-pollution, green energy technology industry; 4. Promote and develop industries with local characteristics
