Taipei, July 17 (CNA) The Changhua County government signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation Monday with South Korean company Haegang Alloy Co., which is keen on investing in Taiwan's green energy sector.
Haegang Alloy will scout for potential locations in the county for the development of solar power and green power, the county said.
Changhua County Magistrate Wei Ming-ku (魏明谷) said the county government has aligned itself with the Cabinet's green power policy and that solar panels have been installed on the roofs of 188 schools in the county and at some factories in the Changhua Coastal Industrial Park.
Wei said the county government is willing to help the South Korean company invest in Taiwan's green energy sector, and will provide potential locations for it to assess.
